Well, we knew Arcade Fire were releasing their much-anticipated third album The Suburbs on August 3rd, and we just knew it was going to be one of the greatest and most distinctive records of the year. Guess what, people? It is. And you can hear the entire thing for free, right now, via the wondrous NPR. Click here.

And just to make this week even more special, the ground-breaking Canadian sextet are going to be broadcasting one of their concerts live and as it happens, via YouTube tomorrow, Thursday, August 5th, at 10pm ET/ 7pm PT. The footage from their second consecutive night at Madison Square Garden will be directed by writer, director and ex-Monty Python cast member Terry Gilliam, so be sure to tune in. We absolutely cannot wait.
