Berlin's giving us another reason to celebrate the fall of the Wall : the cultural boom that's taking over its runways. Whether it be in design, music, or architecture, the designers of Berlin have managed to take all that and fuse it into Berlin Fashion Week.
BFW could have been some indirect homage to the Zoolander character, Mugatu. (You know, his vagrant-inspired, trashy-classy collection called 'Derelicte'?) Designers drew inspiration from all over the capital, incorporating the people as well as the city into their collections. Patrick Mohr used homeless people from public shelters to strut down his runway, and the Boss Orange show was held at a former electricity plant in the outskirts of town.

G-Star Raw at the B&B
The biggest event was the homecoming of Bread and Butter, the street and urbanwear trade show that had been previously debased and moved to Barcelona. B&B did not disappoint; denim-dominated collections and graffiti-inspired textiles wowed a glittering crowd of internationals, including our very own William Rast Label!
