Fresh off her collab with Lady Gaga, Beyoncé is smokin' hot in her new video "Why Don't You Love Me"! A reflection of Betty Page (you know, iconic pin-up girl?), Beyoncé flaunts, cries, martini gulps and chain smokes as her "newest" persona, B.B. HOMEMAKER. The tour-de-force singer shows off her true booty style in daisy dukes and red stilettos. Check it out:

Beyoncé's new video inspired us to dig into the past (ok, with the help of Youtube) of some of the commercials and icons of the 1950s that may have inspired the retro styles in the video.
BELOW: A Betty Page Teaserama - (um, what is this? We can only imagine!)
Betty Page was one of the earliest Playmates of the Month for PLAYBOY magazine.
"I think that she was a remarkable lady, an iconic figure in pop culture who influenced sexuality, taste in fashion, someone who had a tremendous impact on our society," PLAYBOY founder Hugh Hefner told the Associated Press.
Other cool vintage TV commercials that share a similar vibe with Beyonce's vidm includes this vintage Levi's 501s commercial that was BANNED at the time. Man, we love it tho:
SLOGAN: The original button fly, seen in all the wrong places.
BELOW: Take notice of the the similar TEXT in this commerial to the text in Beyonce's
PS. Does the girl look familiar to you (think Brady Bunch)???
Can you think of other icons whose style may have served as an inspiration for Beyonce? If so, do share!
