Canada -- It's been real. The opening ceremonies were grand, the closing ceremonies were a little surreal -- let's be honest. But in between, we were treated to a display of sport in its highest form. Athletes donned their countries' colors and skated, skied, sledded, spun, shot, and yes, swept their way to the medal stand. The lucky few got to hear their nation's anthems and when they wept, damned if we didn't weep right along with them.

But the final word must go to Canada, the hostess with the mostest, and her national sport of Ice Hockey. Yes, it came to pass that our neighbor to the north took the gold medal in a thrilling match that went into Overtime, with Sidney Crosby -- the nation's biggest star -- scoring the game-winning goal. It's moments like these that continue to reaffirm to us exactly why (at the risk of sounding a bit wide-eyed) we LOVE sports. I could watch this video a million times and it'd never get old.
