Collaboration Of The Day: Reflection Eternal And Estelle

Back in January, we mentioned to y'all that one of our favorite rappers, Talib Kweli, was busy working with his DJ friend Hi-Tek on their second album as Reflection Eternal, and "our ears [were] getting twitchy just thinking about it." Then when we saw their live set at SXSW (picts HERE), they blew our minds well after the midnight hour and we marked our mental calendars to stand in line when their new record comes out.
That said, we are psyched that Reflection Eternal's new album - Revolutions Per Minute - is out this month (May 18th to be precise, through Warner Brothers;) and thankfully, lines are unnecessary - you can pre-order HERE.
Better yet, today, we're jamming to the video of their new single, "Midnight Hour", which includes a collaboration with one of London's finest exports, Estelle. (Yes, she of the "American Boy" genius.) It's got all the best elements of sixties' R&B wrapped up with all of the edge of modern hip-hop.
