All the college baseball you can handle! It's not as high-profile as college football or basketball, (mainly because players drafted out of college in baseball don't go directly to the pros like they do in football and basketball), but it's still our National Pastime. For better or worse...
The good:
58-year-old Larry Hasenfus pitched in his first JV game for Springfield College recently; the first batter he faced was 19-year-old freshman Geoff Sabbagh. Having lived with undiagnosed dyslexia his entire life, Hasenfus returned to school after being laid off by his textile firm during the recent economic crash, and joined the baseball team. He wears #7, given to him by his manager in honor Mickey Mantle, who made his debut in 1951 -- the same year Hasenfus was born. ESPN Boston has the heartwarming story.
