While the Japanese designer's muses are local and simple (from Japanese food to "anime" cartoons), his creations end up resembling fluffy, space-age environments - like the 4th generation Jetsons or Matrix revamped for 2020, using fiber optics, light installations and reflective-transparent materials...
PAPER CLOUD SOFA

This couch is made entirely (believe it or not) of paper (that's been clumped and stitched delcately). But heck, if we had a sofa this cool we wouldn't set our butts down elsewhere.
TORNADO AT DESIGN MIAMI

Possibly the most beautiful unnatural disaster ever made. Tokujin created a tornado out of millions of...PLASTIC STRAWS. Yes, you read right, straws.
GLASS BAR IN TOKYO

Ice, ice baby. Check this bar out (just in the photos, the actual installation isn't open to the public.) Huge slabs of glass aka 'glaciers' form a waterfall.
