EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Chilling with Mumford and Sons

We recently caught Mumford and Sons, the London-based folk/country/rock band as they romped through the US to support their album, Sigh No More. Mumford and Sons, composed of raspy, guttural lead singer Marcus Mumford (on guitar and mandolin,) furious banjo plucker Winston Marshall (a.k.a. Country Winston), keyboardist Ben Lovett, and bassist Ted Dwane, have already received impressive acclaim in the UK. Case in point: the Guardian UK has said this tour "will likely cement their reputation as one of the best live bands in Britain." (How's that for a complement!)
Their claim to fame? The infectious, raw energy of their live shows: Raucous and sweaty. A bit dust blown and back porch country. A lot of crowd sing-a-longs. Smiles throughout the crowd...
Already they have a string of sold out venues and zealous fans in the US, so we sat down for a quick interview with Winston and Ben to figure out why their live show was so important to them and a bit more inside secrets. Check it:
