Yoko Ono must be proud. This year, Yoko's son Sean Lennon has not only stood ground onstage with Eric Clapton (as guitarist for her Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono band at B.A.M. in Brooklyn in February), has started a music label (Chimera), and is currently crafting tunes about love and other things worthy, with a love of his own - the lithe model, poet and recently-turned-bass-player Charlotte Muhl.
Sean and Charlotte on their music project, Ghost of A Saber-Toothed Tiger (GOASTT):
Music-wise, "Ghost of A Saber Toothed Tiger" (GOASTT) includes playful cheeky banter and wispy harmony (i.e. "The World Was Made for Men)," which warrants its frequent comparisons to Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin; yet live with full band, such delicacy gives way to raw, musky psychedelic ramblings - the type that typically comes to fruition amidst billows of sweet-scented smoke and mood lamp mojo.
To combat the inevitable comparions to his parents Yoko and John Lennon, they playfully re-enacted the famous naked picture of his parents in bed by Annie Leibowitz- with roles reversed and famed mischief maker Terry Richardson behind the camera. (What else are you gonna do about it?)
Sean and Charlotte on love and other stuff:
PS: Below is the result of the portraits we had them draw of each other while chatting. No bad eh?

“ Wow.. Okay, in my wildest fantasy, because I've got this huge crush on you and I almost got married last year but didn't and then dated this lovely 22 year-old french skier, (which I won't ever do again mind you) So-- I fantasize about pop stars, well namely you and I don't write on anyone else's website, like I've blown yours up. I swear. Anyway, if in my wildest imagination if you were Sean and I were Charlotte, which we're not, I would be the writer (I actually DO write sci-fi), we would have a lovely organic farm somewhere north of LA with a small vineyard and olive orchard. I would teach intercity youth to grow crops and cook and tend the animals.. This of course I could do with any guy after I retire, after I have a career, etc. and so forth.. But, seeing as how you're single and I'm certainly not married, why not fantasize about someone who flies in private jets and sees the world? Why not? xx ”
