For those of you who have witnessed the mind-blowing visual frenzy called The Flaming Lips live show, you know what a sensory trip it is: confetti, streamers, close up videos of the lead singer Wayne Coyne from his microphone-video-camera, random people frolicking onstage dressed like rabbits and Wayne crowd surfing the audience in an enormous, giant bubble....you get the idea....
We covered the Lips' show at San Francisco's Treasure Island Festival last year, but since part of the JT.com team was lucky enough to catch a show at the Trib Total Media Amphitheatre in Pittsburgh, PA last week, we figured we'd share our experience once again - this time experimenting with iPhone photography to prove our point. We hooked up our favorite iPhone app Hipstamatic...(that photo app we oogled about here) and shot away at the stage, the people and the props.

The verdict? You don't need a $1k camera to capture excitement!
