Fashion Friday: William Rast in Century City, San Jose and Cabazon

After almost four years gracing the shelves of fine department stores nationwide, JT's fashion baby William Rast takes its first steps into freestanding retail with three new stores opening doors in SoCal in November.

The coolest thing about having your own branded stores is that you can design them ... from scratch.

In order to create a space that represents the brand's contemporary twist on American biker culture iconography, the team worked with Los Angeles‐based architectural firm Johnston Marklee, best known for conceptualizing the merch room of Murakami at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles as well as the Maison Martin Margiela store in Beverly Hills.

The results are sweet. The three branded stores will be located at the Westfield Century City Shopping Mall, Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Mall in San Jose, and an outlet store at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon. The company plans to rollout 40‐50 stores in major metropolitan locations over the next several years (maybe one near you!)

In case you missed it, read this interview with Justin about William Rast and personal style and our photo gallery from Fashion's Night Out.

And watch out for our upcoming interview with Trace Alaya coming soon on the site, and more pics!!!
