Spring/Summer 2009 style is all about sexy extravaganza, and so is everybody's beloved Austrian fashion advisor, the soon-to-be legendary Brüno. After reading his hilarious A-Z guide to fashion in Marie Claire, we thought we'd give the flamboyant Brüno the 'visionary' credit he deserves in time for movie launch. YELLOW FEVER
After Michelle Obama boldly picked a sparkling yellow-gold dress to wear at the presidential inauguration back in January, style-watchers around the globe predicted that yellow would be this summer's ultimate favorite color. In various cultures, yellow often denotes wealth. In China, it is known as the color of laughter. Proudly sporting a mustard jumper on the poster of his upcoming movie, Brüno is SO 2009.
ÜBER SHORT SHORTS
Gotta love this candid from the movie's premiere in Paris (via Huffington Post). The shorter you wear your shorts this summer, the most stylish you look. Now you can have killer legs AND show them. Isn't it empowering?
ANIMAL PRINTS
The D&G Cruise 2009 ad campaign celebrates the return of the animal prints mania. In the GQ spread below, Brüno's obviously on top of that trend... (On top... really?)
NUDE HUES
Nude and ivory hues were very hot on the runway, but Brüno took the trend to the next level. And when you think about it... Why waste money on leather or silk when you can bare it all and look fabulous?
COLORFUL BAGS
Couldn't resist this one. A t-bag picture is worth more than a thousand Marc Jacobs purses!
BLACK AND WHITE
From Christian Lacroix to Chanel, designers graced the runway with monochrome looks. Any good stylist will recommend to alternate black and white items with opposite contrasting accessories. After stating loud and strong that ze 'little black child' is this season's wardrobe essential, Brüno comes back with this awesome, black and white leather shirt that only he could pull off so well. What an icon!
