Katy Perry Strips Down (...And We're Not Talking About Her Outfit...)

So you think you know Katy Perry, huh?
The foxy chanteuse who recently, while presenting MTV's Europe Music Awards in Berlin, treated the audience to an almighty twelve - yes, twelve! - elaborate costume changes, most of which involved corsetry, hotpants and garters galore.
She's also the young lady most recently responsible for breaking a thousand hearts by bagging new boyfriend - fellow MTV Awards presenter and dashingly outspoken British comedian - Russell Brand.
And let's not forget her frolicking in a fountain for 3Oh!3's 'Starstrukk' video last month.
Yes, we all think we know Ms Perry rather well.
But on November 17, she went and shattered a lot of perceptions by releasing her MTV Unplugged performance as an album and DVD (available through Capitol Records), and, in the process, proved there's a lot more to Katy Perry than meets the eye. Check out this sensitive rendition of "Lost":
Even "I Kissed A Girl" is transformed into a jazzy piano-based piece during the set.
We have to say, we rather like this new serious side of Katy, but no matter what she does in future, we're sure there'll be surprises aplenty in store for all of us (...and hopefully more shiny hotpants...)
