Anyway, it’s old news by now, but the Memphis Grizzlies ended up passing on hot-shot point guard prospect Ricky Rubio and drafting Hasheem Thabeet instead. Our initial reaction: thus continues a not-so-desirable year for basketball in Memphis.

But given the way things panned out, maybe the Grizzlies knew something we didn’t. Ricky Rubio ended up getting drafted by the Timberwolves, but apparently, he would sooner stay in Spain than play in Minnesota. We wouldn’t take it personally, Minnesota. He’s probably just… busy…
