Memphis' Josh Pastner Named C-USA Coach Of The Year

OK, I think we can cool it with the Bobby Brady comparisons for a while. But we can celebrate that Memphis head coach Josh Pastner, in his first year at the helm, has been named the Conference USA Coach of the Year. Pastner's Tigers went 23-8 overall in the regular season, with a 13-3 Conference USA mark. Memphis finished second in the regular season standings and was the No. 2 seed in the C-USA Tournament.

Unfortunately for Justin's beloved Tigers, though, Pastner's squad was ousted in the quarterfinals of the Conference Tournament, which left them out of the NCAA Tournament equation. Still, it is a promising start for the young head coach. And the Tiger season isn't exactly over. They're headed to the NIT, where they will meet up with St. John's on Wednesday.
