Music Monday: 500 Days of Summer & The Temper Trap

There were many, many things to love about (500) Days Of Summer. The subtle humor, the staggeringly realistic heartbreak, Zooey Deschanel’s stunning wardrobe, finding Joseph Gordon-Levitt strangely attractive before you remember he was the little kid in "3rd Rock From The Sun" (Ew!)… And then, of course, there was the exquisite soundtrack.
Featuring the likes of Regina Spektor, The Black Lips, The Smiths, Feist, and even France’s first lady Carla Bruni (!), the most memorable moment on the whole thing actually came from up-and-coming Aussie quartet The Temper Trap.
You’ll recognize “Sweet Disposition” from the trailer whether you saw the movie or not: From the haunting vocals, U2's The Edge-style guitar, and multi-layered dreaminess, it's gorgeous (insert *Sigh* here).
We can’t wait til their debut album, Conditions, hits stores October 13 and they play some select dates across the US to celebrate. So mark your (i-phone/Google/blackberry/name-a-tech-device) calendars!
