In a pivotal Game 5 of the NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics came up with this play in the final minute to seal a victory against the surging Kobe Bryant and his LA Lakers. If they go on to win this series, you can bet you'll be seeing this play in highlight packages until the end of time. And as if this play needed any more jacking up, this video is in slow-mo with some crazy Braveheart / Gladiator music behind it.
Epic.
Here it is from every angle, with each participant's thoughts on the play: from the coach who [presumably] called it, to Paul Pierce who caught the inbounds and made the crosscourt pass before falling into the first row of seats, to Rajon Rondo who caught the cross and finished.
The Celtics are up 3-2, with two chances to clinch their 18th championship. It's a tall task, given that the two games are in enemy territory for both games, but they've won in Los Angeles before. All they have to do is get past the duo of Phil Jackson (10 championships) and Kobe Bryant (4 championships) on their home court. What could possibly go wrong?
