A few things to get you prepared for this upcoming baseball season. Major League Baseball wasted no time getting the juices flowing, starting the season with the league's fiercest rivalry: Yankees vs. Red Sox on Sunday night. The Yankees visited Fenway Park to play their first meaningful game since winning it all last November, "awash in championship afterglow," to borrow a phrase.
This past Sunday, the boys of Summer christened the 2010 baseball season with a rivalry renewed.
Lest we forget, reporters are getting prepared for the season, too.
So JT.com is following suit. We're makin' predictions y'all.
AL MVP: Alex Rodriguez is coming off a career-defining postseason, and now has little left to prove. He's primed to just let his talents fly, and have one of those ridiculous seasons only he can have.

AL Cy Young: Felix Hernandez had an amazing season last year, living up to the potential that earned him the nickname 'King Felix' before he had even thrown a Major League pitch, only to be overshadowed by Kansas City's Zack Greinke. King Felix takes it this time. Here he is having a little fun with new teammate Cliff Lee.
NL MVP: Albert Pujols is as close to a sure thing you can have in this funny game of baseball. He's so good it's scary. In fact...
NL Cy Young: Roy Halladay. He's the best pitcher on the best team in a league without a designated hitter. Finally out of the minefield of the AL East, he'll dominate the NL.

"Oh, great..." said the rest of the National League. (Getty)
AL Champ: The Yankees won it all last year, and all they did was use their seemingly limitless resources to somehow get even better. Top to bottom, the Red Sox may have a better pitching staff (debatable), but the Yankees are the total package.
NL Champ: The Phillies look unbeatable. With Roy Halladay now in the fold, if Cole Hamels is right, this team could win 100 games.
So print it: we're predicting a repeat of the World Series matchup from last year... And, of course, 1950.
