At 6:59PM on Thursday, September 10 - "Where to go first?" was the big question on every New York fashionista's mind (and twitter status). So much on the itinerary, so little time. Over 800 stores in the five boroughs participated in the global event designed to celebrate style and boost in-store sales.
All in all, the first-ever Fashion's Night Out was a huge success by getting people excited about fashion as well as buying despite this very challenging commercial climate. Though we are still waiting for the full stats of buys for the night, the sight of people crowding the streets and packing stores - with bags in hand - was goose-bump inducing.

The madness started uptown. A slightly overwhelming crowd of shopaholics waiting anxiously in front of Bergdorf Goodman.
The night's maestro, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, hopped from party to party to meet & greet all of the top celebrities who got involved in the project. She stopped by Sean John's store.

... And shoppers made their way downtown in their best attire.

Shortly after the first flute of champagne kicked in, the pressure dropped.

Later at night, fashionistas boozed & shmoozed wearing the signature "Fashion's Night Out" T-shirt. T-shirt sales benefited the Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum.
