Re-Introducing Janelle Monae before her summer tour

A while back, we introduced you to this jumping and jiving lil soul pixie, named Janelle Monae. Though realitively new on the scene, this chick has already frolliced on-stage with a diverse crowd, from No Doubt to Of Montreal. She rocks a white tux better than a ball gown. She's jives better than an over-caffeinated member of Dancing With The Stars. And they are damn good. As for her performance on David Letterman on Tuesday? It doesn't get better than this:
Luck be a lady, she's touring with the goddess herself, Erykah Badu, this summer. If you haven't heard of her yet, her album, The ArchAndroid, is streaming for free now on Aol Music for your pretty little ears to take in. A mix of rap, jazz, soul, and lyrical aerobics, influenced by visits to Turkey and Prague, it is - in a word- electric. We see musical legacy in the making.
