Remember Banksy's movie release "Exit Through the Gift Shop" and his connection with the dubious street artist Space Invader? Or perhaps you may have heard about Space Invader by the sheer genius of his work...he INVADES cities all over the world with his small tiled 8-bit themed pieces.
In a change of course from street art to exhibition, Invader has crafted a series of pop culture icons comprised solely from hundreds of Rubik's Cubes. As if completing a Rubik's Cube is not already hard enough (flashback: Rubik's Cube = mind-twisting + time-consuming childhood memories), Invader arranged hundreds of cubes in methodically precise patterns to produce the highlight/lowlight effect seen in the original piece of artwork. How's that for time-consuming?

Pop icons are so a la mode, right? Remember Mr. Brainwash's "Icons" show in NYC made of broken LP's?
