Super Bowl Recap: New Orleans Saints Are Champs

The New Orleans Saints are Super Bowl champions for the first time in franchise history, defeating Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts 31-17. It was a back and forth battle all night until the very end, when Tracy Porter (a Louisiana native, Indiana alum) sealed the game with a 74-yard interception return. Maybe he knew something the rest of us didn't, because right before the game, he had the Super Bowl trophy shaved into his head:

Drew Brees put on a performance of a lifetime, completing a Super Bowl record 32 passes: good for 288 yards, 2 touchdowns, and the Super Bowl MVP award. The tireless work Brees has done for the city of New Orleans: the community, its citizens, is well documented -- having raised $2million and participated in countless community projects to help the city rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. Now, he brings the Big Easy its first Super Bowl trophy. Congrats.
