Supersonic Portrait of Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips

The Flaming Lips' frontman Wayne Coyne deserves more than a standard interview.
So when we chatted Wayne on the phone from his home in Oklahoma for JT.com, we decided to record it and ask 2 artists - LA-based painter SA Richard and SF-based illustrator David Fullarton - to listen and draw portraits of Wayne based on the interview while being videoed themselves.
Several hours in the video editing room later, we combined the footage to debut the first-ever Supersonic Portrait of Wayne - in which Wayne discusses The Flaming Lips' album Embryonic, his ideal electric chair meal attendees, and what Bonnaroo will be like with the Flaming Lips performing this summer. Hope you like the effect!?!
