If, up until now, you thought that Zooey Deschanel was just a fine actress (you may remember her most fondly as the rebellious big sister in Almost Famous or the heartbreaker in (500) Days Of Summer), a leader in retro style and a vocal supporter of cotton products, you'd be missing out on the bigger, far more awesome, picture.
She is, in fact, a wonderfully original vocalist, pianist and banjo player, and one half of She & Him - a musical project with much-loved fellow singer/ songwriter M. Ward.
And this week, attendees at Austin's South By Southwest conference and festival will be given the chance to see the ultra-hip duo performing, on no less than four separate occasions. We absolutely cannot wait to check them out. Especially since their latest video - for "In The Sun" - is such a delight:
"In The Sun" is taken from She & Him's second album, Volume Two, out on March 23, through Merge Records.

“ Hula-hooping at folk pop show is 100% acceptable. And if you're Bjork, you can do just about anything. Anything, (in my opinion). ”
