Ever taken part in a biathlon, triathlon, quadrathlon or any other amazing feat of physical endurance? If the answer's yes, let us congratulate you whole-heartedly. That stuff looks really, like, difficult.
The only thing that's inspired us to hit the streets and train hard lately is this (hilarious) video by The Hood Internet and Kid Static for their ridiculously uplifting "Chi City". Which is ironic given that two of the activities seen here might get you killed, one could give you back problems and one will probably mess up your face.
Don't try this at home, kids:
As far as we're concerned, they're all champions simply for managing to film all of that with straight faces.
Thanks guys, for fulfilling our longing for a follow-up to old YouTube favorite, "Hipster Olympics", while also helping out Chicago's tourist board, and showing us how to box two people at once.
The Hood Internet and Kid Static's collaborative 7" is out September 7, through Whistler Records. In the meantime, be sure to check out the indie-rap mash-ups The Hood Internet are fond of posting on their website (the Chicago duo start a US tour in September too, BTW), as well as Kid Static's rather good Hypnotized album.
Now, please excuse us while we go superglue our ironing boards to our handlebars...
