The Youngest Old Guy At The British Open
Tiger is 7 strokes back on Day 1. But the real story is 59-yr-old Tom Watson, the youngest old guy I’ve ever seen (or is it the other way around), who managed to take the leaderboard by storm with an age-defying five-under par. Congrats to Tom on an amazing round. We're wishing him the best of luck the rest of the way.
Word is Tom won this tournament in 1977, in Turnberry, where it is being held again this year. I wasn’t born yet, so I can’t tell you much more about it, but I did manage to find a photo:
