Feast your eyes, readers. What you're about to see is quite possibly the biggest head scratcher you'll ever see on a professional football field. Last week, the Washington Redskins lined up for an apparent field goal before the end of the half, but instead of doing that, the team had its offensive line shift all the way to the left sideline, the tight end line up as the long-snapper, snap the ball to a punter who was left defenseless, who was then supposed to pass to... the other team, presumably... That's pretty much what we could decipher from what we saw. Watch for yourself and let us know if you see something we missed.
Mind you, all parties involved in the blueprint and actual execution phases of this play are all being paid to do this for a living.
If, even after our lucid explanation, you still can't figure out what's going on, don't feel bad. This was a new one for pretty much everybody.
From what we can tell, the discussion in the huddle went like this:

READY! SHIFT! THEN RUN AROUND!
