Woohoo! The moment we've been waiting for: Today, Tennman Records recording artist Matt Morris' new album When Everything Breaks Open, hits the internets.
A kaleidoscopic work of art -When Everything Breaks Open mixes soulful acoustic ballads ("Money", "Just Before The Morning") with reggae-infused love odes ("Love"), delicate piano solos ("Let it Go"), bluesy jazz breakdowns "You Do It For Me" and folk-based hymns like "Someone To Love You" (in which you'll get the same goosebumps you did when you first heard Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah.") Showing Matt's new musical 'depth of field,' the album further illuminates the evolution of his inspirations, style and composition.
Check it out for yourself on Itunes HERE and Amazon HERE!
PS Matt's making some impressive performance appearances this next week. For those of you in NY, you can get up close and personal with Matt TONIGHT at Drom, 85 Ave A. (Tix $10 can be bought HERE).
He's also appearing on David Letterman on January 15, and on The Ellen Degeneres show on the 19th, so be sure to stay tuned on your TVs/I-Phones/Internets.
To capture it all, he's started a new blog, As It Breaks (Get it?), which includes iin-depth, friendly videos like the one below:
