Is anyone else having difficulty remembering what life was like before "Twilight"?

Maybe you are one of the thousands that has gotten a tattoo in its honor recently?
Or are taking bets whether Kristen Stewart (who plays teen damsel Bella Swan) and Robert Pattinson (who brings brooding vampire Edward Cullen to life) are on or off or whatevers clever.
Or maybe you sucked your credit at Hot Topic due to all your "Twilight" needs this time last year.
Or you saw Southpark's hilarious take on teens' obsession with it, in an episode titled "The Ungroundable".
Regardless, whether they read Stephanie Meyer's best selling novels or saw the flicks or not, by now, you, your mom, your baby brother and your pet dog Scooter all know about the saga. And whether you love it or hate it, whether you're pro-vampire or pro-werewolf, Team Edward or Team Jacob, one thing that everyone can agree on is that the soundtracks rock.
2008's Twilight Soundtrack opened with Muse's groove-laden "Supermassive Black Hole", did wonders for youthful emo-punkers Paramore's already blooming career, introduced a whole new audience to the folk-stylings of Iron & Wine and even gave Robert Pattinson a chance to stretch his vocal chords.
Now, The Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack (which came out over a month before the movie, through Chop Shop/ Atlantic), is proving to be even bigger and better.
Indie darlings Death Cab For Cutie performed two songs at the soundtrack launch in Hollywood earlier this month, having contributed "Meet Me On The Equinox" to the movie, alongside up-and-coming Brit rockers Band Of Skulls, and soulful songstress Anya Marina, who (refreshingly) isn't afraid to show off some chipped nail polish in her video for the soundtrack's gorgeous "Satellite Heart":
Also featured on the album are the likes of Radiohead legend Thom Yorke ("Hearing Damage"), the always awesome The Killers ("A White Demon Love Song"), the always unpredictable Ok Go ("Shooting The Moon") and some of our favourite new artists, like Editors ("No Sound But The Wind"), Grizzly Bear ("Slow Life", featuring Victoria Legrand) and Hurricane Bells ("Monsters").
With soundtracks this consistently great, we're thrilled there's going to be plenty more coming our way from the "Twilight" series. Roll on, "Eclipse"!

“ Movie was amazing, and the music behind it and engraved in the marvel film was fantastic, and quite dazzling. I love the music behind the pain, triumph and serenity of the eyes of the lovers, haters, and fighters. It's all so beautifully done! ”
“ My fav. song on the album is Rosalyn. There's something euphoric about that song playing when it rains outside... ”
“ There's a whole lot of Douchebag enabling going on here. Muse's "Absolution" was a far better album than the latter released stuff. Actually, the mention of all those groups/karaoke singers made me vomit in my mouth a little. I think our era of butt-rock has reached its pinnacle with the release of any and all Twilight related soundtracks... And I thought it peaked with the rise of Fall Out Boy & Paramore alone. Boo. ”
