After 10 years of being on the air, MTV's 'Total Request Live' ended its reign with a two-hour special on November 16, 2008. Former TRL mainstays Carson Daly and Vanessa Minnillo joined hosts Damien Fahey and Lyndsey Rodriques for a final run.
For 'Total Finale Live,' stars like Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Diddy said their goodbyes at the Times Square Studio. Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez from N'Sync came onstage to laugh at cheesy photos from their boy band days and party it out with the audience.

“I really like you doing pure pop music like this song, but the problem with it is that it encourages the white culture and wants it to be exclusive to you and Britney, etc. etc. You stayed away from that sin in your second solo album and it is easier for someone like me to look at you as an artist and a friend now. I am just saying that I want pop culture to be inclusive and you have done a lot towards that end.”
